The greatest thing about the Mustangs is the Mustangs.

Our alumni are pursuing excellence in college classrooms, in business, in serving our nation in the military, as missionaries, in serving their communities and churches in myriad capacities, and on the field playing the game at the next level.  Get to know them and see the heart of MtB:

Lance Martin (2014), Schreiner Univ. Baseball 2015-2018

"There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about the MtB Mustangs and what the program meant to my family and myself.  Giving me a second opportunity to prove myself and play the game that I love meant the world to me.  The Mustangs got me where I am todayand all the credit goes to my coaches and teammates for pushing me to get better each and every day.

"The MtB meaning "More Than Baseball" speaks for itself because they teach you the true meaning of the game with passion and ultimately representing a larger purpose.  My team meant the world to me.  It's a memory that I will cherish forever.  The relationship you have with your coaches and teammates beyond graduation is even better.  It's a family that never leaves your side, because they care about you."

Matt Breuer (2011) and Asst. Coach (2012)

"The Mustangs have had an impact that words can't even begin to describe, but I'll give it a shot.

"When describing the Mustangs, you can't think of just a baseball team. You have to think of a family that takes care of each other, that picks up the slack where needed, and that holds each other accountable. We don't put each other down, rather, we pick each other up. This isn't done because we're good people or because it's the right thing to do. We do it because of a love for each other and a love for Christ.

"Yeah, I just used the word "love" to describe a baseball team. But don't let that fool you, we're just as competitive as any team out there, we want to win just like everyone else. How do we accomplish that? Hard work. Finding the weak part of your game and working on it, over and over. Practicing the mental game until our heads hurt. Finding our weaknesses and working purposefully. In the end all the hard work is worth it, even if we didn't get where we wanted to.

"I love and miss the game of baseball, I love and miss the Mustangs even more. I've been a part of teams before but I've never seen anything like the Mustangs. I've made some of the best friends of my life on this team, and some of the godliest men I've ever seen are involved in the running of this organization. Those were some of the best years of my life and I won't soon forget them."

Mason Handfelt (2007)

"Playing for the Mustangs was a great experience. I learned a lot about what it means to set out to achieve a goal and improve at something. This was due to the encouragement and coaching I continuously received from coaches, parents, and my teammates. However, what really sets the Mustangs apart is the way they intentionally instill a Christ-centered ethic into the players. Anytime we gathered to practice or compete, the focus always remained on something more than baseball: glorifying God in everything we do. I consider playing for the Mustangs to be one of the major venues of character development for me, and I'm extremely grateful to call myself a Mustangs alum."
